Library

The library of the Museum of the Đakovo region has thousands of book titles, reference material, small print, journals and other serial and periodical publications.

It is a valuable source of material for Đakovo and its surroundings and is available to citizens and scolars for informing or researching.

The library is in the process of being formed and organized and once done, will consist of: local literature collection, professional book collections, museum documentation collection, valuable rare book collection and collections of periodicals and local periodicals. The library will be constantly updated and the valuable material will eventually be digitized and thus brought closer to the users and visitors of the Museum.

• For many years, the library functioned as one of the Museums collections, but over time the capacity of the collection overgrew and the need to separate became apparent. This valuable content was separated into its own department. The library contains valuable books, journals, newspapers and other library materials related to the activities of the Museum and the cultural and historical significance of Đakovo and its surroundings.
• In 2020, a librarian was employed and she began forming the library, with an emphasis on creating a local literature collection and a collection of local periodicals.
• The library is at the service of the Museums employees, as well as the general public for the needs of research work.
• The right to informing is realized by coming in person or submitting a request to the Museum.
