The Museum is located in the building of the former Administration, which was built at the end of the 19th century, in the today’s Ante Starčevića Street in Đakovo. The permanent exhibition is based on the ethnological, cultural and historical, and archaeological collection. While ethnological and historical and archaeological permanent exhibitions were opened in 2005, or more specifically in 2006, the archaeological permanent exhibition will be opened in the first half of the year 2017, which will make also that part of the Museum’s collection available to the public. Besides the exhibitions, the Museum is actively involved in education and publishing by issuing the yearbook Anthology of Đakovo Region. Our Museum is an important part of the cultural image of Đakovo and the Đakovo Region, and is committed to preserving and promoting the culture of this region.
